I stand for a stronger economy built on enterprise, effort and fairness for those who contribute. Too often, those who keep our country going are overlooked. I will always champion employers by calling for simpler taxes, less red tape, and better access to finance and public sector contracts. Britain’s productivity challenge won’t be solved by more bureaucracy—it will be solved by freeing up businesses to do what they do best: innovate, hire and grow.
I also believe in a pensions system that reflects Conservative values: protecting the Triple Lock to ensure dignity in retirement; encouraging personal responsibility through workplace saving and pension freedoms; and keeping the system stable and sustainable for future generations. People who’ve worked hard all their lives deserve security and choice in retirement—and I will always campaign to protect that.
