As a school and college governor, I’ve seen first-hand the potential of young people—and how much more we can do to equip them with the tools they need to succeed. That’s why I campaign for a renewed focus on skills, not just academic performance. I support expanding technical qualifications, strengthening apprenticeships, and making sure local employers help shape what’s taught in schools and colleges.
Our future economy will depend on a workforce that’s adaptable, confident, and digitally literate. I champion lifelong learning opportunities, especially for those looking to retrain or return to work, and I believe every student - whatever their background- deserves a real route to success. Education should be a springboard to opportunity.
