Sean Houlston met with Sarah Emes-Young, Project Lead for the Cheshire & Warrington Local Skills Improvement Plan (LSIP), to discuss how the region’s employers and educators are working together to equip local people with the skills businesses need most.
The meeting took place at Reaseheath College, one of the leading further education providers in the region and a key delivery partner for the LSIP.
Sean said:
“Skills are at the heart of our local economy. The LSIP is helping to connect education and industry so that local people can gain the right skills for the jobs our area needs most. It’s a brilliant example of collaboration that directly supports growth, opportunity and resilience across Cheshire and Warrington.”
The Cheshire & Warrington LSIP brings together employers, colleges, training providers, and stakeholders to identify priority skills gaps, shape curriculum delivery, and ensure businesses have access to a workforce equipped for the future.
Sean added:
“I’m grateful to Sarah and the team for their commitment to developing local skills and helping our region thrive. It’s vital that businesses continue to engage with initiatives like the LSIP to make sure training stays relevant and effective.”
