Sean Houlston recently visited the Houses of Parliament to take part in discussions focused on unlocking infrastructure delivery and supporting the industries that drive economic growth across the UK.
The visit provided an opportunity to highlight the importance of skills investment, delivery capacity and backing construction and infrastructure as central pillars of a resilient national economy.
Drawing on his experience working with employers across the construction sector, Sean emphasised the need for practical reforms that strengthen confidence, accelerate delivery and support the businesses responsible for building Britain’s homes, transport networks and energy infrastructure.
Sean Houlston said:
“If we want a resilient country again, we must be more agile, invest properly in skills and back the industries that keep Britain moving. Infrastructure delivery is not just about projects. It is about confidence, capability and long-term economic strength.”
