Sean Houlston visited Lindum Group in Lincoln to see first-hand how one of the region’s leading construction firms is combining responsible business with community impact, skills development, and high-quality building.
The visit included a tour of Lindum’s business park and joinery department, where teams are delivering impressive heritage restoration work alongside modern construction projects. Sean also viewed one of the company’s new housing developments in the Lincoln Western Growth Corridor, hearing about the current pressures facing builders — from rising costs and planning delays to increasing regulatory demands.
Sean said:
“Lindum is a brilliant example of responsible business in action. Their work shows how local employers can build sustainably, invest in people, and deliver for their communities. Builders like Lindum want to build — but they face growing costs and layers of regulation that make it harder to get on with the job. Supporting firms like this is vital if we want to see good homes, better skills, and stronger local economies.”
